I absolutely LOVE it. In less than three minutes it shows a glimpse of the miracles we can experience in our lives because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. These miracles are ones that I have had the privilege of experiencing firsthand as a missionary.
I have spent a lot of time this past week thinking about why I am on a mission. There are plenty of good reasons so serve a mission, you grow your knowledge of the scriptures, become a more dedicated, hardworking individual, and get to spend time around other missionaries from whom you can learn great things. These are all great side effects of serving, but none of them are the driving force behind my choice to be here in Arkansas teaching the Gospel. I am here because I know without a doubt that the Gospel of Jesus Christ CHANGES people. It heals those who are emotionally broken. It repairs families that are on the verge of falling apart. It can free us from the captivity of physical addictions. I have been able to see all of these things come to pass with those that I have met and taught. That is why I am here. I have been so blessed to grow up with the knowledge of how I can use the power of Jesus Christ's atonement to change, to be better, to turn a new page. So many people don't have that knowledge and I want to do everything I possibly can to help them find it. I LOVE being a missionary.
With that said, we got our transfer call on Saturday and Sister Obeta and I both get to stay in Huntsville for six more weeks. We are thrilled. This may be our last chance to keep this area open though, since so many Marshallese people have moved away. We are going to step up our game and try to get a Marshallese branch started here in the next couple months.
D&C 38:33 And from thence, whosoever I will shall go forth among all nations, and it shall be told them what they shall do; for I have a great work laid up in store, for Israel shall be saved, and I will lead them whithersoever I will, and no power shall stay my hand.
